Serving people through education and humanitarian care
Sulaimaniyyah Humanitarian Relief Association (SHRA) is a nonprofit association established in Nigeria and active in different parts of Africa. Our work is guided by the understanding that social wellbeing is strengthened when education, moral development, and humanitarian care are considered together.
At Sulaimaniyyah HRA, our approach is human-centred. We aim to carry out every activity with respect for the dignity of the people we serve and with attention to the different circumstances communities may face.
Learning, values, and solidarity
We work to support the intellectual, spiritual, ethical, cultural, social, and economic development of individuals and communities. Education is at the centre of this purpose because it can help people gain knowledge, develop confidence, and take an active role in their own futures.
Humanitarian assistance is another important part of our approach. Work related to water access, food, Ramadan iftars, Qurbani, and Qur'an distribution reflects our concern for both immediate needs and the wider wellbeing of communities. Across these areas, we aim to serve with care, good judgement, and a sense of shared humanity.
Our mission is to support the intellectual, spiritual, ethical, cultural, social, and economic development of individuals and communities through education and service.
We envision centres of learning and service that help people improve their quality of life and look to the future with hope. We believe stronger communities can grow where knowledge is valued, good character is encouraged, and people have access to the support and resources needed for daily life.
Registration
Sulaimaniyyah Humanitarian Relief Association was registered in Nigeria on 9 January 2022 under registration number 171401. This registration provides the institutional foundation for our association, while our activities are framed across different parts of Africa.
