This document explains the principles governing donations made on behalf of Sulaimaniyyah Humanitarian Relief Association through sulaimaniyyah.org and other channels authorised by the Association, together with the applicable cancellation and refund conditions.
Donors are encouraged to read the following conditions before completing a donation. This document does not remove any rights available to donors under applicable law.
Sulaimaniyyah Humanitarian Relief Association is a non-profit and non-political humanitarian organisation registered in Nigeria on 9 January 2022.
Official name: Sulaimaniyyah Humanitarian Relief Association
Registration number: 171401
Address: Plot 92 F C D A, Owner Occupier, Kubwa, Abuja, Nigeria
Email: [email protected]
Donations to the Association are voluntary. A donation is not the purchase of goods or services and does not provide the donor with a financial return, ownership right or other consideration.
By completing a donation, the donor confirms that the contribution is made voluntarily to support the humanitarian, educational and community purposes set out in the Association’s constitution.
In accordance with the Association’s constitution and official areas of activity, donations may be used for the following purposes:
Donations made without identifying a particular activity may be allocated among the Association’s constitutional purposes according to current needs and priorities.
Donations made for an identified project or type of assistance are used for that purpose where reasonably possible. If a project is completed, becomes impracticable, the relevant need no longer exists or the amount collected exceeds the amount required, the donation may be considered for a similar humanitarian purpose while taking account of the donor’s intention and applicable rules.
Additional terms may be provided on the relevant campaign or donation channel for donations connected to a named beneficiary, zakat distribution or another specific purpose.
Donations should be made only through channels announced or authorised by the Association. Where a bank or payment service provider is used, payment information is processed under that provider’s secure infrastructure and procedures.
Donors should not send full card numbers, CVV codes, PINs, online banking passwords or one-time verification codes by email or through general contact forms. The Association does not request this information through those channels.
Successfully completed donations are generally final because they are voluntary and made without consideration. A refund request may nevertheless be reviewed in the following circumstances:
Submitting a refund request does not mean that the refund will automatically be approved. Each request is reviewed separately, taking account of the circumstances of the transaction, whether the donation has been used, the Association’s obligations and, where relevant, the procedures of the bank or payment service provider.
A refund may not be possible where the donation has been allocated or committed to a relief activity, used for a purchase or delivered to a beneficiary. This may apply in particular to:
This section does not limit any non-waivable rights available to a donor under applicable law.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The request should include:
Do not include a full card number, CVV code, PIN, online banking password or one-time verification code in the request.
A request is reviewed within a reasonable period after all necessary information has been provided. The review may consider whether the transaction can be verified, whether there was a duplicate or incorrect payment, whether the transaction was authorised by the donor, whether the donation has been used or allocated, the payment service provider’s procedures and the Association’s legal obligations.
The outcome is communicated through the contact channel used by the donor. If technically possible, an approved refund is directed to the original payment method. After the Association issues the refund instruction, the time taken for the amount to appear in the donor’s account may vary according to the processing times of the bank, card scheme or payment service provider.
Personal information collected during donation and refund processes is used to complete and verify the transaction, maintain financial records, comply with legal obligations and review requests. For further information, please read the Privacy Policy.
Natural disasters, war, decisions of public authorities, communication infrastructure outages and similar events beyond the Association’s reasonable control may cause delays. This provision does not remove liability arising from the Association’s own fault or from applicable law.
These conditions are interpreted under Nigerian law and any other applicable mandatory rules. If a dispute arises, the parties may first seek a solution through good-faith communication. This provision does not prevent a donor from applying to a legally competent authority or court.
This document may be updated when donation methods, payment infrastructure, organisational practices or applicable law change. The current version is published on this page and the last updated date is revised. New conditions are not applied retrospectively to previously completed donations unless this is legally permitted and expressly stated.
For questions about donations, payments, cancellations or refunds, contact us at [email protected] or write to Plot 92 F C D A, Owner Occupier, Kubwa, Abuja, Nigeria.
By completing a donation through the Association’s website or an authorised donation channel, the donor confirms that they have been informed of the conditions applicable to the transaction. This statement does not mean that the donor waives any legal rights.
