Practical service, grounded in human dignity

Education, access to water, seasonal assistance, and faith-based learning form part of SHRA’s work.

01

Education

Education is central to our work. We give importance to learning opportunities that can help children and young people build knowledge, character, confidence, and a clearer sense of their potential. Our educational approach includes general learning, faith-based education, and personal development.

We see education as a contribution to the future of communities. It can help individuals take part in that future with greater awareness, resilience, and hope, while supporting responsible citizenship, mutual respect, and lifelong development.

02

Clean Water

Water is essential to daily life, health, and community wellbeing. When access is difficult, the effects can reach far beyond a single household and place additional pressure on families' routines. This is why borehole projects are included among our humanitarian activities.

Through work that supports access to water, we seek to contribute to conditions in which people can meet a basic need with greater safety and dignity.

03

Qurbani

Qurbani activities form part of our seasonal humanitarian approach. These occasions create an opportunity to share food support with families and communities and to strengthen the care, generosity, and social solidarity associated with the season.

For Sulaimaniyyah HRA, Qurbani assistance is also an expression of remembering others, sharing what is available, and standing together during meaningful times of the year.

04

Qur’an Distribution

Faith-based learning is one of the areas that shapes our educational outlook. The distribution of copies of the Qur'an supports access to a foundational religious text for individuals and communities who wish to learn, read, and reflect.

We understand religious learning as a source of knowledge, good character, and community connection, and approach this work as a respectful contribution to that process.

05

Ramadan Iftar

Ramadan iftars bring people together around a shared meal during a significant time of worship and reflection. We include iftar gatherings among our seasonal activities because they offer a meaningful way to share food, strengthen bonds, and express solidarity with others.

Beyond the meal itself, an iftar can create a space for community, hospitality, and mutual care.

06

Food Parcels

Food assistance is one of the direct ways in which we seek to respond to essential needs. Food parcels and related support can help families during periods when household resources are under pressure, offering a practical sign of solidarity and care.

At Sulaimaniyyah HRA, we approach food support as part of our broader humanitarian responsibility.
